Performance Instructions

Setup:

1. Connect to your e-ink badge via Bluetooth before the performance
2. Send default ID card to device if not already displayed
3. Enter Performance Mode - screen will lock to prevent accidental touches, so you can slip the phone in your pocket

During Performance:

1. Direct spectator to visit onthisdayshow.com on their phone
2. Ask them to enter their birth date on the radio station page
3. Have them tap "Play Jingle" - your device will automatically link
4. The spectator's data is sent to your badge (update takes around 30 seconds)

What's On The Card:

• Barcode (at bottom of card): DDMM-YYYY-Star Sign Reversed
• ID Number: [days]-B[XX]TY[XX]
  • Days since birth date
  • B = Day of week they were Born (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU)
  • TY = Day their birthday falls on This Year

Secret Cue:

• Pop Music Fact: The spectator sees 3 facts on their phone - exactly one will be about pop music from their birth year. This tells you which year is their birthday out of the 3 facts shown.
