iOS Setup (iPhone/iPad)
Safari and other iOS browsers don't support Web Bluetooth. To use Neural-Ink on iOS, you need the Bluefy browser.
Step 1: Install Bluefy
- Open the App Store on your iPhone/iPad
- Search for "Bluefy – Web BLE Browser"
- Download and install the app (it's free)
Step 2: Grant Bluetooth Permission
- Open iOS Settings
- Scroll down and tap Bluefy
- Enable Bluetooth toggle
- Alternatively: Settings → Privacy & Security → Bluetooth → Enable Bluefy
Step 3: Access Neural-Ink
- Open the Bluefy app
- Enter the Neural-Ink URL:
https://neural-ink.biz
- Log in with your account
- You can now use all Bluetooth features!
⚠️ Common Bluefy Errors:
- "Bluetooth is off or unavailable" - Turn on Bluetooth in iOS Settings, and ensure Bluefy has Bluetooth permission
- "Bluetooth permission denied" - Go to iOS Settings → Bluefy → Enable Bluetooth
- "Device connection failed" - Make sure your e-ink device is powered on and nearby
💡 Pro Tip: Add Neural-Ink to your home screen from Bluefy for quick access. Tap the share icon and select "Add to Home Screen".
Pairing Your BLE Device
- Navigate to any routine (Numbers, Credit Card, etc.)
- Click "Select BLE Device"
- Choose your e-ink display from the list
- Device will be saved for that specific routine
Note: Each routine can have a different paired device. Your pairing preferences are saved across sessions.
💡 Pro Tip: Enable auto-reconnect by setting:
chrome://flags/#enable-web-bluetooth-new-permissions-backend
Then restart Chrome. This allows automatic reconnection without clicking.
